May Schedule: Final Tests!!

Finals will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. Because of the Field Trip and the 8th grade play and other reasons, it may be necessary for part of the test be taken on Friday for some. I haven' decided yet. The test will be on the Agility Ladder Drills (3) 3 cone drill and rope climbing.

Do plenty of isometrics and push ups to get ready over the weekend! Good Luck!!

Please be on time. If you come late you may not be able to finish all of your tests.

tips: If you live on a street that has squares on the sidewalk or near a parking lot that is not heavily used. (school on weekend with marked lanes, you can practice the ladder drils.

P. E. Class March and April

During the months of April we will begin our testing in the drills and activities you have learned over the year. During classes Next week and the week we get back from Spring Break, we will be practicing. The last two weeks of April and the first week of May will be the Final Tests. During Practice Tests I will be giving you your times and the passing times so that you know what you have to do.

Boys Varsity in the Finals

The Boys Varsity will have a chance to win a Championship for Synergy tonight. Again we will face San Francisco School, who is having an outstanding tournament with 4 teams in the Finals. The game is at 5:00 p.m. at Bay View YMCA. Good Luck to Both Teams.

Feb. 12th Playoff Results: JV Girls and JV Boys both loose

Yesterday our Boys and Girls JV Teams both lost to SF School. Both games were very competitive with the Boys losing the lead in the final minutes. The Girls game also was very close well into the 4th quarter before losing. We are proud of both teams as they fought hard and never gave up. Both teams are very young and the future is very bright for them. Fantastic Season!!

Feb. 11th Girls Playoff Results 20-17 loss

On Tuesday the Girls Varsity Team lost a heartbreaking decision to SF School. Although we lost the girls played great, especially down the stretch. They score was close at halftime 11-8. SF School expanded the lead to 18-10 going into the 4th Quarter and maintained that margin for most of the 4th quarter. Our girls put on a dramatic comeback and outscored SF School by a margin of 7-2 and cut the lead to 20-17. After playing great defense they had an opportunity to send the game into overtime. We missed two gut wrenching shots. One rolled in out of the basket and the other was right on line but just a little short. A Great Game! and one everyone should be proud of including the winners.

Playoffs Today Feb. 11th

The Boys and Girls Junior Varsity's play there semi final games at the Bay View YMCA. The first game is at 4:00 p.m. and the second game is the boys at 5:00 p.m.

The Boys and Girls Junior Varsity Teams will play San Francisco School at 4:00 and 5:00 respectively. The first game will be at 4:00 with the girls game followed at 4:00 with the boys game. The games are at The Bay View YMCA.

Feb. 10th Girls Varsity Playoff Semifinals:

Today the Girls Varsity will face San Francisco School at the Bay View YMCA at 4:00 p.m. The winner will play at Burke School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday Feb. 12th.

Boys Varsity Semifinals: Synergy Wins!!!

Yesterday the Boys Varsity defeated SF Christian by the score of 37-12. The game was close for about one quarter before the team pulled away with a deciding victory. They will go on to face the winner of the SF School vs Creative Arts matchup on Thursday in the Finals at Bay View YMCA at 5:00 p.m.

Playoff Update

Now I know what March Madness is like for the NCAA Tournament.  There is great anticipation from all of the teams about who's in the playoffs.  It is 12:15 and no word yet.  This is probably the most anxious I've been since being involved with the Basketball Program.  Whew!

Playoffs: Next WEEK!

We will find out the status of all the teams in regards to the playoffs next week by 1:00 on Friday February 6th. Our Athletic Director Dan Matarozzi will be attending the Athletic Directors Meeting this morning and will contact us of the results following the meeting. All teams have a good chance of making it, but we will wait and see. Great Job by all the teams!

Game Results: February 5th

On Thursday Synergy concluded it's basketball regular season. The Synergy Junior Varsity Girls concluded there season with an 18-0 victory over Creative Arts. The girls played a great team game and have really matured since the beginning of the season. They finished the season at 4-3. In the second game of the evening, the Girls Varsity Defeated Creative Arts 23-15. They finished the season 5-3.(6-3 if KIIP games count). The score was close for the majority of the game but the girls dug deep and pulled away at the end. In the night cap the Boys Varsity won a hard fought 23.13 victory over Creative Arts. This was also a game that was close for most of the night. The boys came up with some key plays at the end to hold on for the victory. If the games against KIPP do not count they finished the regular season with an undefeated record of 8-0. Earlier in the week the boys Junior Varsity finished their season at 7-2. They capped their season off with a hard fought win against CDS with a final of 31-25. All of the boys contributed and this was truly a team victory.

The Boys Varsity Defeated S.F. Christian at St. Mary's. This was a well played game with everyone contributing both on defense and offense. This was the second game of the season where everyone scored. Next Up Creative Arts on the 5th of Feb. (Thursday)

Game on Wednesday January 14, 2009 vs Presidio

The Boys JV game on Wednesday vs Presidio Hill will be played at S. Emydius at 7:00 p.m.  The Girls Varsity Game to start at 8:00 p.m.

The address is 255 Jules St. which is off Ocean west of 280.  Jules is a left turn off Ocean as you proceed west on Ocean from 280.  Jules street only goes left from there, it is called something else going to the right.

The Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity teams play (CAIS). The game for the Varsity Boys team is at 4:45 p.m. and the Junior Varsity game is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.

The Boys Varsity defeated Creative Arts 28-8. The team started off fast and was able to win the game going away. The team is now undefeated in league play with a 2-0 record. Next up is a game against rival Chinese American International Studies (CAIS). Game time is 4:45 p.m.

Yesterday on January 5th the boys and girls Varsity games were scheduled against Lycee and KIPP.  Both games were cancelled.  The Boys scrimmaged yesterday instead.
