On Monday January 3, 2010, The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team will have a game at 6:00 vs S.F. Friends School. The Gym and school are located at 250 Valencia Street.

Synergy Middle School P.E. 2010-2011

Welcome to another year of Synergy Physical Education. I would like to apologize to you for not having the blog up earlier, but I was having some technical difficulties that I have now resolved. When we return to school after winter break, we will be entering our 3rd grading period. We will be focusing on movement activities to increase the students agility and speed and range of motion. I will be posting more information about the actual activities in the upcoming weeks. I look forward to working with you and your child in an effort to increase their overall physical development. Thursdays will consist of team sports or games in an effort to see how each student participates and competes in group oriented activities. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by leaving a message at school or on the blog. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

May Schedule: Final Tests!!

Finals will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. Because of the Field Trip and the 8th grade play and other reasons, it may be necessary for part of the test be taken on Friday for some. I haven' decided yet. The test will be on the Agility Ladder Drills (3) 3 cone drill and rope climbing.

Do plenty of isometrics and push ups to get ready over the weekend! Good Luck!!

Please be on time. If you come late you may not be able to finish all of your tests.

tips: If you live on a street that has squares on the sidewalk or near a parking lot that is not heavily used. (school on weekend with marked lanes, you can practice the ladder drils.

P. E. Class March and April

During the months of April we will begin our testing in the drills and activities you have learned over the year. During classes Next week and the week we get back from Spring Break, we will be practicing. The last two weeks of April and the first week of May will be the Final Tests. During Practice Tests I will be giving you your times and the passing times so that you know what you have to do.

Boys Varsity in the Finals

The Boys Varsity will have a chance to win a Championship for Synergy tonight. Again we will face San Francisco School, who is having an outstanding tournament with 4 teams in the Finals. The game is at 5:00 p.m. at Bay View YMCA. Good Luck to Both Teams.

Feb. 12th Playoff Results: JV Girls and JV Boys both loose

Yesterday our Boys and Girls JV Teams both lost to SF School. Both games were very competitive with the Boys losing the lead in the final minutes. The Girls game also was very close well into the 4th quarter before losing. We are proud of both teams as they fought hard and never gave up. Both teams are very young and the future is very bright for them. Fantastic Season!!

Feb. 11th Girls Playoff Results 20-17 loss

On Tuesday the Girls Varsity Team lost a heartbreaking decision to SF School. Although we lost the girls played great, especially down the stretch. They score was close at halftime 11-8. SF School expanded the lead to 18-10 going into the 4th Quarter and maintained that margin for most of the 4th quarter. Our girls put on a dramatic comeback and outscored SF School by a margin of 7-2 and cut the lead to 20-17. After playing great defense they had an opportunity to send the game into overtime. We missed two gut wrenching shots. One rolled in out of the basket and the other was right on line but just a little short. A Great Game! and one everyone should be proud of including the winners.
